Our Mid-Winter Band Concert is this Thursday (3/3) @ 7:00 pm!  The students have been working hard on this program, and we look forward to sharing the musical progress that we have made since the December performance.

CALL TIME - 6:30

Groups will meet in the following areas:

  • JAZZ ENSEMBLE – Side Stage
  • CONCERT WINDS – On Stage**
  • SYMPH CRIMSON - Choir Room**
  • SYMPH GOLD – Band Room
  • WIND ENSEMBLE – Theory Room

**Please note, these are different meeting areas than the last concert.

Concert Order: The concert order will be slightly varied for this performance.  Because we have students who are involved in the Speech and Debate State Tournament in Cincinnati on Friday morning, we are adjusting the program order to allow them to leave as soon as possible to begin their trip.  We wish them luck!  The order will be:

  1. Concert Winds
  2. Jazz Ensemble
  3. Symphonic Crimson
  4. Symphonic Gold
  5. Wind Ensemble

Ms. Marva Sickinger will be seated in the balcony, serving as a “guest adjudicator” for this concert, providing valuable recorded and written feedback for us.  Ms. Sickinger taught instrumental music for 36 years in the Indian Valley, New Philadelphia and Chagrin Falls school systems.  Her marching and concert bands consistently won numerous awards, and Superior ratings on the District and State levels.  She currently works with many of our trumpet students in private lessons.

Yearbook pictures will be taken from the balcony during the concert, prior to each ensemble’s performance.

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES are the same evening (4:00-7:00).  Parents, please stop by the HS Cafeteria to speak with Mrs. Astey and I prior to the concert (we will be leaving around 6pm).  We would love to see you!
