Now, we turn our attention to our Homecoming and American Tribute shows… We will put our 80’s show on the shelf for a couple of weeks, and bring it back for the OSU Buckeye Invitational on 10/14!  More info to come.

NEW HALFTIME MUSIC — Please print!

We are pleased to announce our next halftime show:

    • We celebrate the unity, determination, and optimism of the Olympic Games!

    • We honor the men and women of the United States Military.  Veterans and currently enlisted members will be invited to stand as their branch is represented through music, and spelled out on the football field.

    • Written and recorded by country artist Lee Greenwood in 1984, this song has become one of America’s most well-known and beloved patriotic anthems.  The show will conclude with an uplifting surprise.
  • We will be performing this show, in conjunction with our current “80s Mixtape,” throughout the next several weeks!
  • Students — PLEASE PRINT THE NEW MUSIC and have in your flip folders by Wednesday evening.

NOTES: ________________________________

It just came to our attention that there was an error on our fall schedule.  Our away game vs. Twinsburg is actually being held on THURSDAY, 9/28, not on Friday 9/29.  Our apologies for the error, and thanks for your flexibility — we know that it is unusual to have a football game mid-week.

  • Thank you to the members of the Flagline and Drumline, who volunteered their time to perform at the Susan G. Komen race downtown on Saturday.  CLASS ACT!

THIS WEEK: ________________________________

FRIDAY, 9/1 – AWAY @ Garfield (CT 4:45)

  • Our first away game — Let’s take our LOOK, SOUND, and CLASS on the road!
  • Note: As you may recall, our previous visit to Garfield Heights in 2015 ended in an unfortunate random incident after we had exited the stadium, in which rocks were thrown at our buses by unidentified citizens.  Please know that Mr. Wyse has been in contact with Principal Ast and Athletic Director Maslona, to ensure that our buses follow a safe and efficient route to exit the stadium.  We will also have a police presence within the stadium, as well, although we do not anticipate any difficulties.  The safety of our students is always paramount.

Thank you!
