CONGRATULATIONS on a peak performance of our 80’s Show at the NRHS Band Festival on Saturday night… your energy and sound were outstanding! We received a great deal of positive feedback.
We are now starting to see what The 2017 Marching Bees are truly capable of… let’s keep it going!
Now, we turn our attention to our Homecoming and American Tribute shows… We will put our 80’s show on the shelf for a couple of weeks, and bring it back for the OSU Buckeye Invitational on 10/14! More info to come.
MAILING #1 — You should be receiving the first Disney Trip mailing this week, which will contain information on the layout of the trip, the cost/payment, and other important info.
If you plan to attend the NRHS Band Festival this Saturday, please note the campus layout and parking situation (there is overflow parking if the main lots are full). For more info on the festival, please see the Band Bulletin below.
Our season is rolling along! THANK YOU so much to all of our chaperones, who are always so incredibly helpful. We have new music and drill coming up… next week is Script Bees, and then we debut our “American Tribute” show. We will also continue to perform and polish our outstanding 80s show!
THANK YOU for a great first away game — Students, your conduct and performance were both excellent! Parents/Chaperones, thank you very much for your help with equipment, logistics, and most importantly – looking after our fine students.
NEW HALFTIME MUSIC — Please print!
We are pleased to announce our next halftime show:
We celebrate the unity, determination, and optimism of the Olympic Games!
A SALUTE TO AMERICA’S FINEST
We honor the men and women of the United States Military. Veterans and currently enlisted members will be invited to stand as their branch is represented through music, and spelled out on the football field.
GOD BLESS THE USA
Written and recorded by country artist Lee Greenwood in 1984, this song has become one of America’s most well-known and beloved patriotic anthems. The show will conclude with an uplifting surprise.
We will be performing this show, in conjunction with our current “80s Mixtape,” throughout the next several weeks!
CONGRATULATIONSon a great first game on Friday! Both Pregame and Halftime performances were very solid… and yet we still have a ways to go! We will be watching the tape to see how we can continue to improve.
THURSDAY, 9/28 – FOOTBALL GAME
It just came to our attention that there was an error on our fall schedule. Our away game vs. Twinsburg is actually being held on THURSDAY, 9/28, not on Friday 9/29. Our apologies for the error, and thanks for your flexibility — we know that it is unusual to have a football game mid-week.
Thank you to the members of the Flagline and Drumline, who volunteered their time to perform at the Susan G. Komen race downtown on Saturday. CLASS ACT!
Any students who have not yet completed their PREGAME CHECK, or would like to improve their score, should also sign up to be evaluated. Thank you!

FRIDAY, 9/1 – AWAY @ Garfield (CT 4:45)
Our first away game — Let’s take our LOOK, SOUND, and CLASS on the road!
Note: As you may recall, our previous visit to Garfield Heights in 2015 ended in an unfortunate random incident after we had exited the stadium, in which rocks were thrown at our buses by unidentified citizens. Please know that Mr. Wyse has been in contact with Principal Ast and Athletic Director Maslona, to ensure that our buses follow a safe and efficient route to exit the stadium. We will also have a police presence within the stadium, as well, although we do not anticipate any difficulties. The safety of our students is always paramount.
