Band Bulletin #8: 10/2-6

October is here!  There is much yet to accomplish… Let’s work together to finish our season even stronger than we started.

  • CITRUS SALE KICKOFF – click for details

  • Congratulations on a solid debut of our new “American Tribute” show!  This show is very meaningful and uplifting for many people… thank you for working together (through the hot days) to serve our communities in this way.
  • SERVICE MEN & WOMEN (VETERANS/CURRENTLY ENLISTED) — If you or a member of your family have served in the military, we would like to honor you by having you stand on the sideline while we perform our “Salute to America’s Finest” this Friday.  Please contact Mr. Wyse!

  • CHAIR PLACEMENT MUSIC – RELEASED ONLINE THIS FRIDAY
    • Chair Placement auditions determine seating within your assigned concert band
    • Auditions will be due on Friday, October 20 — More info to come!
  • BAND CARWASH FUNDRAISER – Sunday 10/8
    • BP on Brecksville Rd (9:30 am-3:30 pm)

  • PRE-GAME BAND COOKOUT – Next Friday, 10/13 @ 4:30
    • We will enjoy some food and fellowship together in the Honors Lot before call time
    • Bring your own everything – grills, meat, food, drinks, etc.
    • We will be requesting some parental supervision, more info to come
  • OSU “BUCKEYE INVITATIONAL” – Next Saturday, 10/14 (CT – 2:00)
    • The Marching Bees perform in Ohio Stadium!
    • We will also hear several great HS bands, as well as the OSUMB.

  • 8th Grade Night — We will welcome almost 100 8th grade band students to join us at the game!  Let’s use this opportunity to give them a great FIRST IMPRESSION of The Marching Bees — with all 3 facets of our motto on display.
  • Halftime – “American Tribute” show
