ROYTZ AND KEEN BAND AWARDS

There are two awards given out to Seniors by the Band/Band Boosters each year.

The James Roytz Band Award is a prestigious award funded by the BBHHS Band Boosters and generously matched by Mr. Roytz and his wife Diane. The award will assist a student of excellent academic standing, is a member of the BBHHS band program, and demonstrates a driven effort and love of the arts. The recipient need not be pursuing music as a major, however, must be seeking a degree in education. More information available HERE.

The David J. Keen memorial percussion scholarship fund was put into place through the generosity of the Brecksville-Broadview Heights parents and staff, as well as, family and friends to honor David J. Keen. David died unexpectedly in 2006 at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School doing what he loved, teaching percussion.  David taught the marching band percussion section, indoor drumline, private lessons, and other percussion studies at the high school for 9 years. David lived his life with the philosophy of “Do what you love and love what you do.” More information available HERE.
