Greetings, Band Parents and Students –
Thanks for a great band camp! Â This is the first of several weekly bulletins that will be posted throughout the marching season. Â Please take the time to read these bulletins carefully, as they contain important updates and reminders for the coming week.
TUESDAY, 8/26 â€“ Rehearsal and “MEET THE BAND” PREVIEW SHOW (6-9)
*Note â€“ Students will wear their black band T-shirt for the preview show!

6:00 pm â€“ Brief Meeting in the Auditorium
6:20-8:00 pm â€“ Rehearsal in the Stadium
8:30 pm â€“ PREVIEW SHOWâ€¦ tell your family and friends!
WEDNESDAY, 8/27 – FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
Remember, all students will report to MARCHING BAND 5th PERIOD!
- If you are enrolled in Symphonic Band, you will report to LUNCH 4th period, and Marching Band 5th period.
- Students enrolled in Concert Winds/Wind Ensemble will follow their schedules as printed, reporting to band 5th and eating lunch as indicated.
- Remember to have proper footwear for marching!
FRIDAY, 8/29 â€“ FIRST FOOTBALL GAME vs. Holy Name (CT – 5:00)
HALFTIME MEMORIZATION CHECKS â€“ Must be completed by Friday 9/5
Students must complete a Memorization Check on ALL HALFTIME MUSIC by next Friday 9/5, by performing their music for Mr. Wyse, Mrs. Astey, or Mr. Griffin (percussion is assessed by Mr. Sark/Mr. Taylor). Students will be allowed to perform in groups of 2 or 3, on the same instrument. We will have signups posted beginning this week, and all students must sign up for a time.
Students who are not completely memorized may continue to use flip folders until they are able to demonstrate full knowledge of the music. Remember, we â€“ and the student leaders, are here to help you! And we only sound our best with 100% participation!
